(Toronto, ON- July 27, 2012) - The African Entertainment Awards website has been shut down temporarily to reconstruct the nominees' section for public voting. Due to a number of concerns for voting integrity,   the AE Awards committee has employed new hosting and designers to enhance security measures, and protect the process of voting for the public and nominees.

Please note the following:

All Votes cast online for nominees are NOW INVALID. 

The voting process consists of 80% of votes online by the public, and 20% votes from panel of judges

Voting is set to resume on August, 1, 2012 midday online at: www.aeawards.ca 

Voting ends on September 12, 2012

Official Statement:
Microbell Media Group (MMG) would like to sincerely apologize to the fans that were not able to enter last night's Wizkid concert. Those ticket holders will be able to see Wizkid on Sunday July 22, 2012 at On The Rox, located at 1600 Steeles Avenue West. Ticket holder must arrive early to avoid disappointment. Doors Open at 9PM. 

Supporters and fans that have purchased tickets and would like a refund, please contact the ticket seller that you've purchased from or email MMG directly at: microbellmediagroup@gmail.com for a refund on your ticket.
